Dr. Jonathan Abdelmalak is a dedicated Gastroenterologist with advanced expertise in digestive and liver health. He provides professional, evidence-based medical care with a strong focus on endoscopic procedures, liver disease management, research, and patient wellbeing.
More Biography
After graduating from Monash University with first class honours, Dr. Jonathan Abdelmalak completed advanced gastroenterology training at the Alfred and Austin Hospitals, including a subspecialty fellowship year in hepatology.
He currently holds public appointments at both the Alfred and Austin Hospitals, where he performs gastroscopy and colonoscopy procedures while actively participating in teaching and medical research. Dr. Abdelmalak is also undertaking a PhD in liver cancer research through Monash University and has presented his work at international medical conferences.
He is a member of the Gastroenterology Society of Australia (GESA) and the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease (AASLD).
