Fees and Charges

• Private hospital theatre fees are not covered by Medicare. However, for patients with private health insurance, these costs may be covered depending on your level of cover and any applicable excess.
• All doctors (endoscopist and anaesthetist) fees are covered by Medicare and or private health insurance
• All pathology service fee is covered by Medicare and or private health insurance

• Potential additional fees will be payable 
  • If polyps need to be removed during the procedure
  • If special equipment like haemostatic clips, injector and endo marker (tattoo) are needed during the procedure
  • If in the unlikely event you need emergency transfer to a major hospital and you don’t have ambulance cover

Any additional fees are payable before discharge

Available only for valid pension card holder

• Endoscopist and anaesthetist fees are fully covered by Medicare and or your Private Health insurance.
• There is no out of pocket cost if you hold a valid Medicare card.
• our doctors charge the ” no gap ” rate with private insurance

• The pathology fee for biopsy or specimen taken for analysis is also covered by Medicare and/or your private health funds.
• There is no out of pocket fee for the patient with a valid medicare card
