OUR FEES








We have one of the most competitive and affordable fees in the endoscopy medical  service sector.

We welcome patients who have a valid current medicare card with or without private health insurance

You will be advised of the fees that may be applicable to you at the time of booking.

There will be one fee only payable ( theatre fee )

You must have a valid unconditional medicare card.

If you have a reciprocal medicare card or you are an overseas patient please let us know at the the time of booking to see if you can have your procedure at our Centre.

We do not have any arrangements with DVA or workcover.

Theatre Fee
  • The Ivanhoe Endoscopy Centre charges a theatre fee which is not refunded by Medicare and is payable on the day of your procedure.
  • Please contact the Ivanhoe Endoscopy Centre for a quote on your procedure theatre fee.
  • Please note that this is your only out of pocket fee. Out of pocket fee is further reduced with private health insurance.
  • Additional fee may be incurred if special equipments are necessary during the endoscopy procedure like to remove polyps or stop any significant bleeding.
  • we are confident your out of pocket fee is likely to be less than for the same service in a major private hospital.

Payments can be made by EFTPOS, Mastercard, VISA or cash.  We do not accept cheques.  If you have a valid current private health insurance all or part of your theatre fee may be covered by your private insurance. Any fees payable will depend on the type of health insurance and excess level of your insurance cover. Please advise the receptionist at the time of booking the details of your health insurance including your level of cover. You will be advised if there is any fee payable by you.

Concessions rates

Concessions rates are given to patients who hold a valid Pension Card or a HealthCare Card.

Doctors fees: ( both endoscopist and anaesthetist )
  • The fees charged by your specialist endoscopist and anaesthetist are fully covered by Medicare and or your Private Health insurance.
  • There is no out of pocket cost if you hold a valid Medicare card.
  • our doctors charge the ” no gap ” rate with private insurance
Pathology Fees:
  • The pathology fee for biopsy or specimen taken for analysis is also covered by Medicare and/or your private health funds.
  • There is no out of pocket fee for the patient with a valid medicare card

Important notes

  • Patients who fail to cancel their appointment prior to the day of your procedure will be sent an administrative fee of $50. We prefer you to let us know prior if you are unable to attend your appoinment.
  • If you are required to repeat your procedure for any reason, a separate full theatre fee is payable for the next examination.

Ambulance Fee

In the unlikely event that you are required to be transferred to a larger hospital for any reason during or after the procedure, you are liable for any ambulance fees if you do not hold ambulance cover.
