Dr. Sern Wei Yeoh grew up in Melbourne and achieved outstanding academic success as the dux of Melbourne Grammar School and one of Victoria’s top secondary school students. He later graduated from the University of Melbourne on a full academic medicine scholarship and completed degrees in Medical Science and Public Health with first class honours.

He undertook specialist gastroenterology training across Tasmania and Victoria and achieved full specialist qualifications in 2016. Following this, Dr. Yeoh completed an advanced hepatology fellowship at St James’s University Hospital in the United Kingdom, where he managed critically ill patients including those requiring liver transplantation.

Dr. Yeoh currently serves as a consultant gastroenterologist at Northern Health and is actively involved in regional healthcare services across the Latrobe Valley. He is also a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Melbourne Medical School, mentor to junior doctors, and accredited supervisor for gastrointestinal endoscopy training programs.

He performs gastroscopy and colonoscopy procedures with consistently high standards and has been part of the Ivanhoe Endoscopy team since 2023. Dr. Yeoh also speaks conversational Mandarin, French, and Spanish.
