Fees and Charges
Ivanhoe endoscopy centre aims to provide high quality but affordable service to the local community.

- We welcome patients who have a valid current medicare card with or without private health insurance.
- Our facility does not accept reciprocal card holder or oversea patients.
- You will get a quote on booking for your procedure fee and advise on any other additional potential fees.
- We do not have any arrangements with DVA or workcover.
Admission Fees
- Private hospital theatre fees are not covered by Medicare. However, for patients with private health insurance, these costs may be covered depending on your level of cover and any applicable excess.
- All doctors (endoscopist and anaesthetist) fees are covered by Medicare and or private health insurance
- All pathology service fee is covered by Medicare and or private health insurance
- Potential additional fees will be payable
- If polyps need to be removed during the procedure
- If special equipment like haemostatic clips, injector and endo marker (tattoo) are needed during the procedure
- If in the unlikely event you need emergency transfer to a major hospital and you don’t have ambulance cover
Any additional fees are payable before discharge
Concessions rates
- Available only for valid pension card holder
Doctors fees: ( both endoscopist and anaesthetist )
- Endoscopist and anaesthetist fees are fully covered by Medicare and or your Private Health insurance.
- There is no out of pocket cost if you hold a valid Medicare card.
- our doctors charge the ” no gap ” rate with private insurance
Pathology Fees:
- The pathology fee for biopsy or specimen taken for analysis is also covered by Medicare and/or your private health funds.
- There is no out of pocket fee for the patient with a valid medicare card
We require at least 7 days’ notice for appointment cancellations. A $50 cancellation fee will apply if less than 7 business days’ notice is
provided.
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please let us know as early as possible.- If you are required to repeat your procedure for any reason, a separate full theatre fee is payable for the next examination.
Ambulance Fee
In the unlikely event that you are required to be transferred to a larger hospital for any reason during or after the procedure, you are liable for any ambulance fees if you do not hold ambulance cover.
